Jagex has announced that after 18 years of being the main PvP battleground, Duel Arena will be ending its presence in RuneScape and a new location can be added. Beginning today, with the Oasis Restoration the players will be charged by the task of transforming the Duel Arena following a cataclysmic earthquake that destroyed the entire area. The players will have to join forces to transform the an arena that was "a bloodthirsty battle pit in which legends have long put their money into one-on-1 matches, into a peaceful paradise."
Players will help rebuild the region and will be able to complete daily tasks which will pay them rewards according to their performance. Those who take part in the community event will be rewarded with exclusive event prizes that include a brand-new animal crocodile, a title outfits with desert themes, and the footwear of the 'Gators.
Following the two-week event for the community the area that was rebuilt will be called Het's Oasis An area for learning and exploration with new instructional content that will help those who want to improve their Agility, Hunter , and Farming skills.
